Who agrees

Work is contracted between CBE Electrical Contractors Ltd (Companies House No. 17431085, Unit 3B Edison Court Ellice Way, Wrexham LL13 7YT) and the client stated on the quotation.

Variations come first

Anything extra agreed during work takes place only against a written variation signed by both parties before the extra is done. Words passed at the doorway do not start work.

Prices, payment and arrears

All prices are in pounds sterling and fall due within fourteen days of invoice. Overdue sums attract statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

How a contract begins

A written quotation holds for thirty days. Acceptance in writing - or a clearly written instruction to start - makes the contract. Verbal quotes do not bind anyone.

Cancellation of bookings

Appointments cancelled 48 hours or more in advance cost nothing. Less notice may carry a reasonable charge for the reserved day, and we say so before that day arrives.

Confidentiality

Drawings, measurements, prices and the state of your premises stay confidential during and after the job. They are used only to price and carry out your work.

Liability

Our liability is capped at what you paid for the affected job; indirect and consequential loss is excluded to the extent the law allows. Liability for death or personal injury through negligence is not limited by these terms.

Law and dispute

Welsh law - that is, the law of England and Wales - governs this contract, and the ordinary courts decide disputes. We ask that a dispute comes to the office in writing first, before it goes anywhere else.
